Disrespect at the library

The library used to be a place of silence so a person could read a book, do homework or just research a potential subject of interest. Not anymore. The modern-day library is filled with children and adults yelling, people talking on their cell phones, children running around while parents play on their social media and library staff not doing a damn thing about any of it.  No wonder students don’t utilize the library system anymore, they can’t get any work done with all the noise in the room.  Library staff sits at the desk as if nothing is happening around them? What is their job these days? Just put books away or help someone find a book? Hell, they can’t even answer basic questions about research anymore, and forget about helping someone find resource material for a school paper or even an aspiring journalist looking to research an article before publication. No wonder the journalism work suck, it’s all due to the deterioration of the library system and their works. Librarians used to be the go-to person to help a student find that one golden nugget to help them achieve that A on a paper, nowadays it means you’re shit out of luck because if you can’t find it, don’t think they could find their way away from their desk and help you find anything you might need.
