Age of laziness

Have we become lazy due to using technology? Technology has become the cornerstone of success in the last 30 years, so much so that we rely on it for everything. Years ago, we had to remember a person’s telephone number in order to make a phone call, yet today all we do is hit a button on our cell phone to place the call, not recalling the person's phone number at all. If our cell phone dies from lack of charging and we had to contact that person, we would be lost beyond comprehension. The same goes for our connecting with a person via email or social media, technology remembers how to connect with them with the push of a button.

We definitely have become lazy enough to the point where technology-driven appliances have taken over our lives reducing society to mere slaves to technology advancement. For example, we have voice-driven technology that can do everything for us by just hearing our voice, from ordering our food for delivery, appliances such as our whirlpool ovens that are connected to Alexa that can turn on the oven or turn it off. How about doorbells that can photograph who is outside, cell phone applications that can remotely turn on your lights, regulate your heat or air conditioning, to vacuums that can run around your house sweeping your floors leaving you to do other things like sleep, or play a game on your computer.  We truly have entered the age of laziness for sure. What’s next robots to wipe our asses after we take a dump or dress us like a manikin in the store window?
