Molly Ringwald and other has-been actors have spoken out against Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE) following the tragic death of an ICU nurse.
She expressed her deep concern: "There’s something horrific
happening in our nation. We once had one of the greatest countries, and I’ve
always taken pride in being American, but now it feels like we’re living under
a fascist regime.” Ringwald wouldn’t know what a fascist regime would look like
if she were staring it in the face.
“It's already a fascist government, not just becoming one.
ICE's actions are brutalizing people," she stated. Her comments align with
those celebrities condemning federal immigration officers just too gain
publicity for their dying careers.
Katy Perry, Billie Eilish and Mark Ruffalo also have stated
their dislike for ICE and law enforcement efforts to rid this country of
illegal immigrants and their criminal activities. However, none of them have
used their celebrity status to encourage people to cooperate with law
enforcement to ensure there is no violence shown toward those just doing their
job in crime prevention. Instead, they encourage criminal activity against their
fellow citizens by allowing criminals to walk among us to rape, brutalize, and
murder innocent people.
If you’re a celebrity who is paid to entertain, please stick to entertaining and stay out of politics or better yet, just stay out of the limelight because half of you who speak up are has-beens with no real talent.
